Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of the girls are extremely excited and anxious for the beginning of the soccer season. Just as excited they are, they have been ready since the beginning of the academic school year. These girls have learned to adjust and find ways to strive and continue with their daily living. The equipment will not only make our students feel extremely proud and happy, they will provide the necessary essentials to experience high school soccer. By providing the equipment they will be able to feel that they are part of a team and learn to be a teammate.

With our school being located in the south side of Chicago, Back of the Yards neighborhood, 92% of our student population is low income.

Our girls soccer team should be able to experience soccer like other students across the city. These funds/equipment will not only empower our girls, it will also make them feel part of a team. Coming from having mismatched uniforms, having this equipment will help the girls perform on the field and inspire them to do better.
