This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help the LadyLoboHoopz program hit the court with style and safe! I have a group of student-athletes that love basketball and are coachable and eager to learn. Many times their socio-economic status doesn't allow them to get the necessary equipment for practice nor the required equipment to participate safely in competitions. If fully funded this project will give my student-athletes practice shorts and compression tights with knee padding to wear under their uniforms.

Basketball is an agreessive contact sport; compression tights with knee padding will help aid in their overall knee health and protect their knees when they fall, dive or go after loose balls.

My goal is for this project to receive full funding to allow my Lady Lobos to have access to protective game equipment, which will boost their confidence to play more agressively.

My students are special because they understand the responsibility of being a student-athlete and always put their academics first. They are special because they never count themselves out due to their circumstances. My team is special because they never give up and continously strive to be the best versions of themselves in the classroom, on the court and in life.
