Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is excited to announce that we have reopened our sports program for the 2022-2023 school year for the first time in 15 years! This school year the girls are finally having the opportunity to not only learn different sports but they also will be able to practice and join a real softball league where they will play against other schools!

This would be the first ever softball team at our school!

The majority of our student population come from low-income families who don't have the means to buy equipment or join a league outside of our school. Our students are super excited to finally be part of a real team that travels to other schools and plays against students from established teams.

We are a brand-new team with a lot of heart. Our students are eager to learn and play the sport but we need your help! Our school does not have the budget to supply our students with the helmets and gloves they need to not only participate in the softball league, but to practice and become better every day!
