Many girls are getting their first period between the ages of 10 - 15, which means many are getting them in their elementary school years - sometimes even while in school. I work with elementary school girls who are going through this now. I want to make sure that every girl in my school has access to these products in order to create a clean and healthy learning environment conducive to academic success.
The primary goal of this initiative is to provide essential hygiene products to students in need and keep them in class when they do get their periods.
This way my girls are focused on learning and not where to go to get a feminine product.
