My Students

I teach a lively and energetic group of 23 curious first grade students. They are eager and excited to explore their world.

I teach an amazing, smart and creative group of students.

We are federally funded as Title I, meaning that 100% of my students receive free lunch and breakfast. The students coming to me each day need every opportunity available to enrich their learning experience. They want so desperately to be in the thick of our classroom instruction and academic dialog.

My Project

Unfortunately, with such a large group of students, it is often difficult to display books or math manipulatives in a manner that is equitable to every child. By contributing to this project, your donation would help my students to have the accessibility that would make the difference in their learning experience this year.

This document camera would display and enlarge the teaching manipulatives that I integrate into my classroom instruction on a daily basis in order to visually enhance my curriculum and instruction.

When teaching large group lessons, these visuals are a vital part of the learning experience. In addition, your donation would allow for the document camera to be utilized by students during presentations of their own, encouraging ownership over their educational experience.
