My Project
I have the best time teaching my students about their own bodies through hands-on lab activities and my students do too! Today we tried a blood pressure lab and the tubing and bulbs on most of the blood pressure cuffs were cracked and splitting. Others were stiff, indicating they will not work for long!
Help me get new blood pressure cuffs so the kids can see and hear what their systolic and diastolic blood pressure is and what nurses listen for each time they get their blood pressure taken at the doctor's office.
I've also found that we are in need of new dissecting needles and probes for our dissections and muscle fiber labs.
Many of my students are not able to afford the spiral notebooks that we use to make interactive notebooks to keep their notes and lab write-ups organized. These notebooks will make a big difference for my students.
