My Project

At KWH Elementary in Ronan, Montana, on the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Reservation, we are hoping to reintroduce STEAM and Makerspace programs through our library. We are also hoping to introduce for the first time a robotics program for the upper elementary students.

As a reservation school, we are hoping to promote a love for STEAM and Makerspace to begin preparing our students for roles and careers in science, technology, engineering, art or math.

Currently, these programs have taken a backseat somewhat to reading so that our students can close the gap in standardized testing. We are hoping to alleviate the pressure on classroom teachers by opening up this door to students through the library media center. In order to do this, there are some supplies that we would need to make this a reality, and with your help we are hoping to do just that!
