Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The KUDOS Corner is a student lead behavior incentive program that operates as a store. The students may purchase items at this store by earning "Kudos" dollars. These dollars are handed out by teachers to students exhibiting the school's core values.

The program is run solely based on donations.

By giving the students access to soccer balls, basketballs, and other exclusive items they might not normally be able to get on their own, the students have shown improved behavior to attain the necessary amount of Kudos to get these items. This program has seen an improvement in behavior and has also improved morale across the campus. In having the program be donation-based, the students have learned about running a sustainable business and learning to adjust as things change.
