My Students

“Keyes Kids” are some of the most loving, protective, energetic, bright, and the hardest working kids you will ever meet! I have one bright bunch and they have my heart 100%. I have watched them soar in reading in ways I never imagined! One of their biggest strengths in reading is citing text evidence using text evidence language! Way to go Keyes Kids! Their self-esteem about learning has grown in unimaginable ways. When children believe in themselves, there are no limits to what they can achieve or become. I have watched my kids go from not wanting to read at all, to now recommending books to their peers that they love to read. This is so exciting and mind-blowing! Exposing children to all kinds of literature will help them adopt a great love for reading my kids are example of that. You will see some of “Keyes Kids” names on some of your future novels! You just wait and see!!

My Project

My students need electronic tablets to do all the things that will make them successful in this 21st century learning environment. Having a class set of chromebooks or tablets coupled with electronic reading programs, will help us enhance each students reading ability. My students need reading programs that help with reading comprehension, vocabulary, and sentence structure. Providing students with a reading center or reading corner is just another way to differentiate instruction which helps make learning meaningful and exciting.

Your generous donation to our project will improve our 5th grade reading classroom by building stronger readers and writers.

This will change our students' lives for the better. They will continue to love reading and feel success in class while having fun learning!
