Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in a community with a large population of underprivileged students. Most of them struggle with even putting food on the table. They would greatly benefit from hands-on activities.
I enjoy watching them light up each time there is an a-ha moment.
My Project
I work with special needs students and minority students from the lower income groups. These students have little in terms of supplies and resources. I will not shy away from doing activities with them. Many times I have spent money from my own paycheck in order to do activities with my students and bought necessary supplies from the nearby stores. I will do whatever it takes to ensure that my students have a healthy and plentiful learning environment. These supplies will go a long way to help my students thrive.
