Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom science center does not have enough materials that will get the attention of my students to explore. Little people’s curiosity is what drives them to explore and investigate. It is the reason they learn anything at all. Our classroom does not have enough science materials and resources. The Science center materials will help gravitate children to go and explore.

Children are certainly curious, and science helps them learn new, exciting things in a fun and hands-on way.

Using fun experiments and activities to ask questions and find answers will set my students up with a lifelong love of learning.

Setting up our science center will give my students an opportunity to investigate, experiment, and explore curriculum concepts, where they can practice and learn necessary skills and be successful in an early childhood learning environment.

Science Feeds the Natural Curiosity of Young Children and Social Development Help Strengthen Building Relationships and Confidence.

Dramatic play helps children explore different roles and situations as children play with items and tools adults use in everyday life. Role-play also helps children learn about their community, their surrounding environment, and a variety of careers. I have seen how role playing has helped positively my students enhance their cognitive, social, and language skills. Most of my students are diverse, which is special because they learn about their peers' family roles at home. The dramatic play area has helped them open up and express themselves regardless of the language barrier. My students will benefit from the new dramatic play materials in their center.
