Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are resilient, adapting, and strong little human beings. Given the circumstance with COVID, personal home struggles, and the challenges of online learning, my students have managed to get back on track with in-person learning. MA is a Title I school and most of our students come from low-income households, but that doesn't mean we can level out the playing field for them.

Athletics is an outlet for my students.

Volleyball is an outlet and an incentive for my students. They thrive to do well in class and maintain their grades above average in order to participate in our afterschool program. The afterschool program consists of two parts, academics, and enrichment, allowing students to participate in a sport or club while still focusing on their academics.

My Project

"In order to win you have to have the greatest desire for it!" Sports are often the motivation for many students. Our afterschool program allows students to play sports or participate in different clubs, and also maintain their academics. By requiring students to have above grade average, students are forced to maintain high standards and reach both their academic and enrichment goals.

My students will use the new volleyballs to practice what they love!

The new volleyballs will help them become successful! I am also requesting a Silhouette Cameo to create team shirts. The girls will also have the opportunity make shirts for our team. With the right tools, the academics, and the heart, nothing can stop them. Volleyballs will not only provide the opportunity to continue their club but they will also look the part and level the playing field for them against other schools in town.

Your donation will give my students access to equipment for our afterschool program, volleyball club. Please donate and give my students the opportunity to continue playing volleyball. Thank you!
