This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the school year begins, the energy around basketball and education has been very positive and exciting here at our academy. Last year despite having limited resources our student-athletes not only performed well on the court but also excelled in their classes. Our academy is more than just a sports team, it's a platform for young student athletes to develop important life skills like leadership, discipline and teamwork. We want to continue fostering that development with proper tools and equipment.

Our school is located in an underfunded area, and our athletes often face significant challenges both inside and outside of school.

Yet they show up to practice and games, giving 110%, and we are so proud of their efforts. To better support our team, we're requesting basketballs, agility cones and training equipment. By donating to this project, you are giving them an opportunity to grow and exceed in ways that extend far beyond the basketball court.

Our students are driven, hardworking and committed to improving themselves. With your support, they will have the tools they need to reach their full potential and become even stronger leaders in their community.
