This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Many of my students are at school from very early in the morning until the evening. While all students receive free lunch, growing teenagers can be very hungry. Especially those that have an extended day due to their college classes.
Sometimes a small snack can make the difference in a student being able to learn and focus for the day.
Providing snacks to students that need them has fostered an environment of trust and understanding in the classroom. I also give out mints when we have a test or when students have a tummy ache. They love being able to grab a mint from the jar when they want or need one.
Please consider supporting this project to help continue to supply snacks to my students that are so hard working and amazing.
