My students are part of the modern media communications magnet program. We specialize in integrating 21st-century skills within our math and science curriculum. One project we are working on is kid blogging and publishing student work into text. With a diverse magnet population, our sixth-grade team serves students from East, South, North, and West Los Angeles. We are excited to partner with local media industries in our community to help bring learning to life. Through relevant programming, children are challenged and engaged to participate in written, and oral communication.

My Project
I have requested a total of 100 KN95 masks for students and teachers to use during this Covid-19 surge. With the contagious spread of the Omicron variant, multiple students and teachers have tested positive for Covid-19. Absences due to sickness and recovery has been difficult for all stakeholders within the education field.
Please consider donating to my classroom to ensure the safety of students during this pandemic, it is our responsibility to provide appropriate masks for students to learn in a safe environment.
