My Project

As students enter class, my goal is to have them immersed in a vibrant, rich learning environment. The first thing they will see will be the magnetic schedule of the day with the adjacent labeled clock. This will give students confidence in their ability to learn to tell time. The supplies will also be used to create an engaging reading area. They will record their progress towards meeting their reading goals on the goal setting posters. The walls will also depict our units of study: classic tales, animal classification, and the human anatomy. The clipboard stand will be accessible for any student to use to take notes as they read. By adding the colorful bean bag chairs, this reading area will be a place students look forward to going to. Not all my students learn the same way. Providing students the opportunity to hold and manipulate the models of the human anatomy will enhance learning for my kinesthetic learners.
