Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Together we can make a difference. When kids work together, the impact can be like a domino effect. Students came up with ideas for spreading kindness school wide. One group of scholars wants to give out popsicles to specific classes to spread kindness during state testing to "cool" down after the test.

Another group of scholars decided to spread kindness to individuals in the school setting and community with an array of snacks and candy to show appreciation and kindness.

When students exhibit kindness, our crew of students will reward this behavior with special treats and prizes. Finally, another group wanted to use little prizes, arts and crafts while creating "You Matter" kindness cards for different individuals. Another group wanted to take pictures around the school building for students to display acts of kindness school wide.

Being kind starts with you and this is an impact we want to do school wide. Simple snacks and a hand written card by students can really be a positive start to the school day for all.
