This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students drop into our independent study program only when they need to. Well, some kids still come every day, whether they need our help or not.
Part of the reason students come to school, is to get the opportunity to eat.
Help me provide more snacks than we already do, to help feed their bellies and their souls.
When students aren't worried about their own hunger, they can see and focus on the needs of others, too. When dealing with food insecurity it is hard to focus on the world around you. You might just miss an opportunity to help another friend in need.
