My Students

My students are phenomenal. This is 6th year at my school and my 6th teaching and every student that has come through my classroom so far holds a special place in my heart. It amazes me how kind, thoughtful, funny, and intelligent all of these kids are and it makes me want to do everything I can to give back to them.

This school is so special to me, as are the kids because this is my hometown.

I walked the same halls, lived in the same areas, and even had some of the same teachers. Now I am back and I want to do everything in my power to make their experience as special as mine was.

My Project

Our DuPont Middle School Student Council has decided to do our own version of a Kindness Rocks Project. The idea is that we will, as a student council, take some time to paint rocks with kind sayings and images to be placed in a rock garden in front of the school. When any student is having a bad day, or needs a pick me up, they will be welcome to go and take from the rock garden.

I and our student council members truly wanted to do something to inspire and bring some kindness to a school year that has been so difficult for so many.

We hope to use the unused rocks as a fundraiser also to keep this rock garden blooming for years to come! The materials in this donor's choose project will be enough to get us started! Students will be able to also bring in their own rocks from home. We are hoping to get our Kindness Rocks Rock Garden off the ground soon so please, any donation or share will help us put some kindness into our students' days!
