Kindness Rocks and Winter Gloves

My Project

My students have been learning about community service in social studies. They have learned how members of their community have helped each other and spread kindness. To extend this lesson, my students will lead a community service initiative, about kindness, by painting kindness rocks and placing them around their community. First, they will paint the Decorkey River Rocks. Then my students will use the MUNBYN Thermal Printer and Phomemo labels to place a label on the bottom of each rock. The label will have a kindness quote or a positive affirmation that my students will create. Each student will place their painted rock in their community. These gifts will teach my students how to be kind to people who live in their community and how good it feels.

My students will also be making care packages to place in our school’s community baskets.

These baskets will go to our school’s community members who can’t afford winter clothes. My students had already decided to collect blankets for them. Hopefully, these Yacht and Smith winter sets will be available to place in a Madbag Sack with a blanket. My students will use the various labels and MUNBYN thermal printer to create stickers with more kindness quotes or positive affirmations. Each Madbag will have a kindness sticker that my students created and printed using the thermal printer and either an Itari, Phomemo, or 3x2 label. My students will learn how creating this kindness initiative will help families in their community who may not be as fortunate as they are.

The MUNBYN label holder will make it easier for my students to print the labels by themselves.
