My Project

What I love most about my students is their resilience, creativity, and determination to succeed, even when facing challenges. They are a diverse group with different learning styles, and they consistently inspire me with their perseverance and desire to grow. Many of my students come from backgrounds where they may not always have access to resources that support their emotional well-being, yet they show up each day ready to learn, bringing unique energy and perspectives to the classroom.

The items I’m requesting—fidgets, coloring books, snacks, and mental wellness supplies—will make a huge difference in their learning by addressing their social-emotional needs.

Fidgets and coloring books help students self-regulate and stay focused, especially those who may struggle with anxiety, stress, or attention issues. These tools provide a calming outlet and allow students to take a break when they need it, without becoming disengaged. Snacks help ensure that no student is trying to learn on an empty stomach, which is critical for focus and energy throughout the day.

Mental wellness supplies, such as stress-relief items or journals, will encourage my students to express their feelings in healthy ways and develop strategies to manage their emotions. By supporting their mental well-being, we can create a positive, supportive environment that enhances their academic performance and overall growth.

My goal for this project is to ensure that every student feels cared for and supported, both emotionally and physically, so they can reach their full potential in the classroom. I want to equip them with tools that promote focus, calm, and emotional resilience, which are essential for learning in a positive, inclusive environment.

By providing these resources, I hope to further nurture their mental well-being, allowing them to thrive academically and emotionally.
