Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Since the days of COVID, there has been a disconnect between students and this disconnect has truly impacted how our students treat each other and their teachers. Empathy, kindness, patience, understanding, and respect for one another has greatly decreased and I want to find ways to repair that.

My students came up with the idea to create kindness pins to give them to scholars in the school when they see them acting kind and doing kind things for one another.

Having 2 sets of pin machines will give us a variety of pins so students can choose what they make.

Students will give each other pins when they see them exhibiting kindness, but will also invite other scholars in to create pins too! The laminators will be used when we use kind sayings to put on the kindness pins when we give them out.

Being kind.. it starts with you!
