Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our school, we believe in the power of kindness. Last year we created a Kindness Rock Garden that supports our student-created school-wide campaign of Kindness and Social Awareness. The entire student population was included in the creation of this project. Everyone designed a rock including words of kindness or a picture.

This year our students will be given the opportunity to create their own individual Kindness Rock to share with friends or family as we celebrate the Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day!

The goal is to increase social-emotional awareness and to spread kindness! The requested materials will be used to provide the kiddos an opportunity to create their own Kindness Rocks with personalized messages. Students will share their rocks with others as we learn and celebrate the Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day! Additionally, all the participants will receive a goodie bag filled with treats!
