Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I am the Teacher Librarian at a small, rural, TK-8th grade school in the Central Valley of California. My greatest joy as a teacher and as a librarian is helping my students find books that they are excited about reading, and helping them to meet their reading goals.
Most of my students' families can't afford to buy books, so our little school library is their only source of reading materials.
Each of these picture books sends a message to our students. They teach kindness, respect, and acceptance. They let kids know that it's okay to make mistakes, because we can learn and grow from them. My hope is that every one of our students will be able to read these books!
