How about some donuts for kindness as we fight hunger! We are still recovering from the effects of COVID-19 and being friends with others and accepting differences. Donuts and chocolate for snacks will be earned as PBIS rewards and used to enjoy with a friend.
The time for focus monthly focus is ‘Fight Hunger’.
We work with our kids to live this daily, making sure they have snacks when needed. Students will earn one donut for themselves, and one or more to give away to a friend who may be hungry. This is a great way to increase relationship-building during the middle school years as we fight hunger too. They can share with friends so they both can learn and not be hungry.
To encourage positive behaviors, we have squadron points that students can earn individually. They also can get recognized for this and be rewarded. Donuts will also be used to have a club with a friend after school to increase relationships as we fill bellies too.
We all know how important kindness is, and we want to encourage the next generation to pay it forward. Thanks for allowing them to do that.
