This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a School Nurse at a charter school in North Las Vegas, NV. The school site I work for is a Title I school with a high poverty rate, many of who are English Language Learners and 100% receive free lunch.

Students will benefit from your donation by receiving basic supplies such as masks, uniforms, socks, and personal hygiene products.

My Project

Help me give my students personal hygiene products that will enhance their learning experience. As we begin to welcome students to in-person learning health promotion is imperative to keep everyone healthy. This year has been like no other. Not only do their basic activities of daily living need to be met, but students also need to learn the importance of keeping their masks on, social distancing and covering their coughs and sneezes. Studies have shown that students thrive academically when attending in person. The hybrid schedule allows students to alternate between attending school in-person and virtually.
