Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have an extremely inquisitive group of fourth graders. My class is enjoying the implementation of Project Based Learning Assignments. These kindles will help us read articles in the Newsela program that we purchased licenses for and help with our research projects.

I teach gifted fourth grade students.

They are in need of creative, innovative, real-world learning. It is so exciting to be in a learning environment where the students are so engaged and excited about learning . Having these kindles will provide us with the accessibility to research and guide their learning. The population of my school is very diverse.

My Project

Our projects require collaborative groups that require accessibility to research. The kindles will allow each group to share a device that will allow them to serve the web or access Newsela articles which I will assign relating to their topic. This will help guide their learning and bring them reach the level of knowledge that they are capable of.

The Kindles will improve the way our projects evolve.

My students mainly bring research from home for their projects since we do not have enough computers in our classroom. Being able to research in collaborative groups will strengthen their ability to collaborate with each other.
