Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are caring, loving, and eager to learn children. Every day they step into the classroom with smiles on their faces ready to learn. Many of my students are below grade standard in reading, writing, and math. However, that does not prevent them from trying and asking their teacher and peers for help.

These students are persistent and determined about achieving their goals.

This school is a Title I school which means that most of the students come from low income families. One hundred percent of my students come from low socioeconomic families, and 100 percent of them receive free lunch. However, this does not stop my students from becoming excited to learn so they can become tomorrow's engineers, dancers, scientists, writers, and artists.

My Project

The four Fire Kindles will be the best tool for my eager learners! I want my students to use the Kindles during math and reading. During math, students will be practicing different skills and strategies on the kindle. During reading, students will be reading different stories to help them build their reading skills.

A lot of my students do not have technology at home so I would love to provide these resources for them to motivate my students to continue learning.

I want a new set of students to practice reading and math skills every day. This will allow all students a chance to have access to the kindle.
