Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day with inquisitive smiles and happy hearts. They love school, love learning and are extremely excited to know they are now learning to read.

I would love to have my students, many of whom are English language learners, afforded the chance to use technology to hear stories read to them and to be able to reread the stories they have just heard.

I love the enthusiasm that they show when we pull in the smartboard or use my laptop and I can only imagine how happy they will be when they can use tablets to practice their reading.

My Project

With these kindles in my room, my students will be able to access websites that can help them learn their sounds, sight words and will send them on the wonderful journey of becoming life-long readers.

Also you will give them the opportunity to use technology that they may not have access to at home.

Using these tablets will prepare them for the computer skills they will need in the upper grade.

They will also be able to use Math games that will give them extra practice in the Math vocabulary that they will need to know to be better Math students.
