My Students

My students are amazing human beings! They are full of life and endless potential to do so many wonderful things. My school is a Title I school in a poverty stricken community. Our school receives a grant that allows every child to have free breakfast and lunch served at school due to food insecurities at home. Many of our parents struggle to help meet the needs of school supplies and the needs of their children. Regardless of these circumstances, my students overcome! They are learning how to face challenges and grow stronger academically, socially and emotionally preparing them for the next level of life.

I believe that these students deserve every opportunity this world has to offer and I am determined to help them get it.

These students can change the world with their brilliant minds and can climb out of the cycle of poverty through the gift of education. They will learn that the world is theirs for the taking with hard work, dedication and knowledge.

My Project

My school is located in a poverty stricken community and I currently have 3 computers for 22 students in my classroom. I want to give my students one to one access to technology to provide equal opportunity for every child to learn digital skills and practice digital citizenship.

With these Kindles, my students will have uninterrupted and equal access to all of our digital content that we have available to them in our district.

It will also allow me to create project based lessons using Google Docs while teaching digital citizenship skills to my students keeping them safe while online.
