My Students

I teach in the Preschooler's Achieving Learning and Skills (PALS) classroom. The students I serve are ages 3 through 6. They are all unique and have many disabilities. They enter school to learn and grow as independently as possible. They have numerous needs and barriers to learning. They face challenges that include writing, socializing, and communicating.

Although my students face challenges, they engage and attempt to demonstrate what they learn in various ways.

Their disabilities do not define what they can do. They are a joy to work with and always happy with any praise.

The use of technology allows my students to express themselves and complete assignments that would otherwise be impossible for them.

My Project

My students have various disabilities. Often times, these disabilities make learning a challenge. The use of the Kindle Fire Tablet will allow my students the opportunity to engage using a touch screen device. They will be able to produce complete assignments, express themselves using communication apps, and participate independently in district digital programs.

My students are unable to write, hold a pencil nor are they able to verbally communicate.

The Kindle Fire Tablet will allow my students to use apps to name pictures, practice labeling common objects, learn basic core academics, and respond in the classroom.
