My Students

I teach a class of 24 fantastic kindergartners. My students are eager for hands-on adventures and challenges in learning. Our school loves the arts, science, and reading, and we integrate art and technology with our academics. We are a great multicultural family that loves to have fun as we learn! Many of my students speak a language other than English at home. All students receive free breakfast daily, and over 35% receive free or reduced-price lunch.

Every Spring my students love learning about penguins.

This year I want to create a classroom library filled with books that my students can use to research about penguins.

My Project

The kindergarten science curriculum focuses on animal babies. My students especially love learning about penguins. The books that I have requested are a wonderful selection all about penguins! I know my students will learn from these books and will love reading them during our center time.

Some of the books I've requested are non-fiction and full of interesting facts, and others are great fictional stories about penguins.

I can't wait to introduce my students to the one and only Tacky the Penguin!
