This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are exceptional students who are so eager to learn. They come into my classroom like blank book, ready to be filled with new leaning, experiences and memories that will last forever.

My students love to feel that their classroom is their home away from home.

They are diverse learners that come from different backgrounds and situations. My students come into my classroom looking to forget negative things happening outside and ready to share the positive things they love the most.

My Project

The listening center and read along books will provide students with opportunities to enhance their reading. I want to expose my students to more reading at their own pace, a space where they can put into practice all their reading skills and find new goals to reach. We already have library books, but with the listening center students can have an aid to read vocabulary they wouldn't be able to read on their own. With a read along books they can have an additional support to read their favorite books that might be a bit too hard for them to read on their own.

With the listening center my students can build confidence, nurture their independence and foster their reading interest.

They need a space where they can read at their levels, independently or with a small group of students. The classroom library is a place they already enjoy but they need more.
