My Students

My students are so curious about the world. At four and five years old, they are constantly asking questions and want to know more. Their desire for knowledge is evident. In these fundamental years of development, they are learning to be readers and writers. This group has a passion for learning.

My students are highly motivated kindergarteners from West Harlem (Title I District) that have so much potential to succeed.

My class student population is diverse and is made up of multiple ethnicities, ENL (English as a New Language), IEP (Individualized Education Program) students. Diversity within our school is something we embrace and nurture.

In kindergarten, we teach children about empathy. This group is caring and they always strive to be better community members. They take an interest in each other. I want my students to always take pride in themselves and their learning materials.

My Project

My kindergartners love hands on, engaging activities that support their academic and social emotional needs! I would love to invest in a laminator and a color printer for my students!

We use so many materials in kindergarten that they never seem to last throughout the year, let alone the year after.

The less time spent on recreating materials, more time will be spent on create engaging lessons for my students! I want my classroom to feel warm and inviting and color always brightens things up! Thank you so much for supporting my kindergarten class!
