My Project

Hello Friends,

We are raising money to build out our Peace Corner for our Kindergarten Class at PS270 The Dekalb School Brooklyn, a Title 1 School in the community of Clinton Hill.

Our kindergarten is a vibrant and inclusive space where children from a variety of cultural, linguistic, and personal backgrounds work together to learn and grow. We celebrate our rich diversity and recognizing that every class member has unique talents, abilities, and challenges.

At this age, children are still learning how to identify and express their feelings, resolve conflicts, and cope with frustration or overstimulation.

The Peace Corner will be a safe space for our students to go when we are having big emotions or need to take a moment to calm our minds and bodies. They will build self-regulation skills, develop empathy, and foster a sense of independence in managing their emotional well-being.
