Kindergarteners Work Best Through Hands-on Learning

My Students

I teach a class of kindergartners that are creative, imaginative, and love learning. They come from diverse backgrounds and we are constantly working on social skills and kindness. I would love for them to be able to have as many learning styles to experience as possible. They learn best with hands-on experiences where they can interact with their environment and each other. They are just starting out on their academic journeys and I want to make this one a positive experience.

My Project

My students are working their way through building words and also building number sense. These hands-on games and manipulatives will help them explore their learning and work cooperatively. My kindergarten students learn best when they are using materials instead of worksheets and this Snap & Build Sight Words set along with the Counting cones will help immensely. Their faces light up when I introduce any new games and I love when they work through games because they don't realize they are learning while playing! The math game will help build their number sense and the sight word snap letters will help them interact with building words and enforcing their letter recognition.
