Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 24 kindergarten students are above & beyond amazing. They're bright, sweet, full of love & incredily eager to learn. Being that they are only 5 years old, the best (& most fun) way for them to learn is through hands-on projects & crafts. I do as many crafts with them as I can, but I can't keep up with all of the cutting of paper that is necessary for my students to create crafts on a regular basis.

The best way for my students to learn is by actively involving them in their learning.

When they make connections to what they are learning, they always pick up the concept being taught quickly.

Kindergarten is not what it used to be. It is no longer play-based. My students have to sit for long periods of time when they're being taught. That can't be fun for them. Incorporating more projects & crafts into their day will motivate them & inspire them to learn.
