I teach a dynamic group of fabulous kindergarten students in an extremely diverse school in New York. My students love reading funny stories, writing, poetry, creating art, exploring in science, learning new words, building, dancing, singing, playing math games, playing with puppets, and learning new facts. We are obsessed with our composting worm bin!
My class absolutely loves our beloved puppet, Chef Lotsa Words.
He cooks up sight words, poems, vocabulary words, and books each day in his "magic" pot. My students are funny, enthusiastic, inquisitive, compassionate, and sweet.
My Project
My kindergarten students are going to be learning how to write their own how-to books. I would love for them to visit Two Boots Pizzeria to learn how to make their own pizzas! This project will cover the cost of my students attending a Make Your Own Pizza workshop. After the field trip, my students will write their own books about how to make pizza! Last year, my students had an absolute blast making personal pizzas step by step at Two Boots Pizzeria. My students will be able to decorate a chef's hat while they wait for the pizza they made to cook. Then, the best part - they will eat the pizza they made! Learning how to make pizza and then eating pizza - what could be better? I would also love to give my students pizza sticker books after the trip!
My students will love learning how to make pizza, eating pizza, and creating their own books about making pizza!
Please help my students attend this awesome field trip!
