My Students

It is without a doubt that all students can learn better when they are engaged in fun hands-on activities.

More than half of my Kindergarten students are English Learners who have diverse ethnic background.

They are highly motivated students and everyone is working toward mastering standards based curriculum in Korean English dual language program. My school is a title 1 achievement school in California.

My Project

Letter, number, and shape stamps will provide my students opportunities to reinforce core kindergarten skills that have been taught in class. By having letter stamps available at literacy centers, students will be working on sight words, sound segmentation/blending, and word/sentence writing. Number and shape stamps will be used to review mathematical skills such as number sense, shapes, and patterns. Students can also make books on different subjects using these stamps as well.

It is definitely an effective teaching tool that is student centered and engaging for all students.

From a pattern Art project to an alphabet book, those stamps will be used across the curriculum ensuring the mastery of Kindergarten standards.
