My Students

My students are so curious about the world. At four and five years old, they are constantly asking questions and want to know more. Their desire for knowledge is evident. In these fundamental years of development, they are learning to be readers and writers. This group has a passion for learning.

My students are highly motivated kindergarteners from West Harlem (Title I District) that have so much potential to succeed.

My class student population is diverse and is made up of multiple ethnicities, ENL (English as a New Language), IEP (Individualized Education Program) students. Diversity within our school is something we embrace and nurture.

In kindergarten, we teach children about empathy. This group is caring and they always strive to be better community members. They take an interest in each other. I want my students to always take pride in themselves and their learning materials.

My Project

My students love being back in school after the past year and half of remote/ hybrid learning. They are so excited everyday to come to school with friends they haven't seen in so long and also meet new ones.

My classroom needs a carpet where the students can gather and come together as a community!

Here, they will listen to stories, turn and talk to partners, and engage in lessons across all curriculums.

Having both their desks to sit at and a carpet will assist with transitioning from activity to activity. The carpet will give students the chance to explore and learn together as a class. Thank you for your generosity!
