This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hi! My name is Ms. Brunetti and I work with Mrs. Franzoni in a Kindergarten ICT class, which is made up of 40% Special Ed and 60% general ed children. Our population is made up of learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, speech impaired, as well as English Language Learners.
We come from a high poverty area of New York City and have very few resources.
The kids are loving and excited to learn each day! We would greatly appreciate your help and contributions! A little goes a long way, thank you.
My Project
These kinds of hands-on learning centers provide our kiddies with opportunities to work and have fun in a small group setting. The centers align with the CCLS. The math boxes include counting to 10, making combinations of 10, and simple addition skills. The literacy boxes include sight word work, beginning sound recognition, and building words.
Kindergarteners are naturally enthusiastic learners!
They learn, grown and internalize through interactive experiences with each other, adults, and real materials that require all of their senses. We will be implementing them in small group settings to ensure more individualized instruction. Please help our class learn and grow!
