Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have not met my students yet, but based on my 1st year of teaching kindergaten last year, I believe that privacy shields will help my new class immensely.

Kindergarten students at 195 are eager to learn, many are english language learners who love visuals and digital additions in all aspects of their learning.

I believe strongly that privacy shields as well as a strong "holder" to keep them organized and protected from damage will supplement my students learning and ability to focus across all subject areas during independent work time.

My Project

Kindergarten student's struggle to work during independent time. They are wonderful on the rug, engaged, participate and show understanding, but once they return to their tables to pratice a skill they just learned, they are distracted or talkative and benefit from either moving to an unused table, such as my small group table, but it only fits 5 to 6 students at a time.

Privacy shields will allow for me to add resources right in front of them to use as they work independently such as sight words, alphabet charts based on our fundations phonics program and number lines, shapes, etc, as supports.
