I am a NYC kindergarten teacher. What I would love for my students to have is a monthly subscription to Weekly Reader's Kindergarten edition. I am committed to helping my students excel, and I think this would be a wonderful tool.
Weekly Reader is an accredited magazine known to be highly effective in the area of literacy. It is an educational magazine that helps children read, write and learn about various topics that are discussed in the classroom. The content in the magazine builds general knowledge and reinforces the classroom curriculum. Due to the fact that Weekly Reader's Kindergarten edition is grade specific, I feel my students will comprehend the articles better, which will make learning more enjoyable for them.
