Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

For the last 4 1/2 years, I have had the greatest pleasure of working with the best kids in our urban city schools. However, as we all know, the recession has hit us all very hard. More so our kids and their families in these HIGH NEED urban cities. We are in need of WRITING supplies. Not just for my classroom, but for the entire Kindergarten.

We have 75 students and almost no writing supplies whatsoever. We are begging for supplies. The community itself is in desperate need. We want our students to experience creativity in all aspects of learning from reading to math to art and so on. We would appreciate whatever can be donated to our classrooms. I have made a list of supplies that is badly needed: paper, pencils, journals and so much more. I am not just concerned about my classroom but all of our Kindergarten students.
