My Students

"If you don't let technology help you, if you resist good ideas, you condemn yourself to dinosaurhood." -Yann Martel Some of my students have not yet discovered the world of technology. This could be the year to spark their imagination and set them up for success. Help me introduce my students.

We have a mixture of 25 students including a group of high poverty families here in the city.

These students often don't have access to technology at home and only have the exposure when they are at school. We are an IB school which allows our students to use their resources in so many more ways to promote inquiry.

My Project

Students will be using their iPads at several different points of their day. Students use iPads during reading rotations to use RazKids (another subscription program) which helps students will reading fluency and many other skills. Students will also be using iPads to take assessments and for upcoming research projects.

This will make a huge difference in my classroom because students will have working resources that don't take away from the time that they could be learning.

It will allow my students to access information that we might not be able to find in our library and it will give students an opportunity to explore technology that they otherwise not be able to access.
