Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The kindergartners in our school are full of wonder and ready to learn. They are general ed, ENL, and special needs students. Many students come from low-income families. They come to school with a desire to learn.

As Kindergarten teachers we find ourselves in need of materials to enhance the student's learning.

Students love to use hands-on materials and thrive when using them. Our students are creative and energetic. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. We are so very proud of all their accomplishments.

My Project

The materials we are asking for will give our students the hands-on experiences needed to retain their learning. The 3-D shapes will be used in centers as they explore and discover the differences between 2-D and 3-D shapes. The sand will be used during word study to give our student's tactile experiences while writing the letters and sight words in the sand. The butterfly garden kit will elicit a world of wonder as they watch the life cycle of the butterfly unfold in front of them.
