My classroom is in need of an update to its seating. I want to be able to meet the needs of my students while also increasing collaboration with each other! The round table would allow students to see each other and work together as small teams to complete tasks. By adding more tables I will also be able to increase the time spent on learning, instead of so much time being spent on cleaning up.
Students have different learning styles and should be able to choose what works best for them.
Now students can pick the seating style for them and with this update to tables and seats, my students will have more choice than ever before. These options allow students to complete their work while also getting the movement their little bodies desire.
Due to my second degree in special education, I am also the inclusion classroom for kindergarten. Throughout the day I am joined by multiple students with varying needs that will also benefit from this collaborative environment that is built around choice. I want to creative a warm and welcoming environment that truly focuses on the fun of learning as well as teaching students to meet their own needs and work together.
