Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. I will have diverse students from various countries such as Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, etc. I am a Kindergarten Dual Language educator with an anticipated class of 22 students.

For many of my students this will be their first school experience and many of them come to school without the supplies they need to feel successful from the very first day of Kindergarten.

It would be wonderful to give my students glue,notebooks and pencils.

I am going to use these supplies to create a "Welcome to Kindergarten" starter kit so that every child in my class will feel special and prepared to make this the best school year ever. I hope that with your donations we can soar into a great school year.
