My Students

It is never too early to become a scientist. I want to spark my kindergartners' curiosity from the beginning of the year.

I have 22 young scientists that are eager to learn.

I teach a collaborative team teaching class in which half of the students have special needs. For many of my students, kindergarten is their first school experience. In our school, 57% of the students receive free or reduced price meals.

My Project

I want to be able to make each and every day a learning adventure for my students. To truly incorporate science in the curriculum, I need hands-on science tools that my kindergarten scientists can use to observe, experiment, and pose questions. The Lakeshore Science Kit will provide us with classroom tools, such as magnets and magnifiers, as well as all-in-one learning centers that focus on life cycles, insects, and more!

I want to create an environment where I foster my kindergartner-scientists' curiosity and nurture their love for inquiry and science.

Having these materials will help me teach my students how to observe, interpret, and analyze data, all of which are essential skills that I want them to develop in my class.
