Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My Kindergarten class consists of 23 amazing students. My students are learning to read, write, and count. They love to learn through play and enjoy making connections to their peers both in the classroom and outside on the playground. Center time is especially fun because they have the opportunity to learn new things through play.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students deserve to be immersed in authentic learning experiences that challenge them on their level.
My class has a wide range of learning styles and the needs of many will be met with these new center materials.
My Project
Reading and math learning journals will allow my students to develop academic independence. Both of these journals will be opportunities to practice what I teach to the whole class on an independent level. The journals will allow my students to practice letter and number recognition in a fun way. The dot paint will give my students the chance to learn through play and practice the basic skills they need to master in the first half of the school year. Allowing them to have a consumable journal to work at their own pace will allow me to create another "center time" activity and share with parents classroom expectations in another way.
